Jō no ei

This einori chant is sung in a high register and is characterized by the prolongation of certain syllables and a vocal line with a more dynamically shaped contour. It is typically employed for the delivery of a poem. This brief chant begins with a slower tempo that gradually accelerates as it unfolds.
